The village of Macca Fat Mountain is one of the few places left where the Macca Fat grows abundantly. There is a legend which says that there is a Golden Macca Fat in the village (though no one has ever seen it) and so long as that is in the care of the village the harvest is assured and all will be well.

The village is led by the Minister of Everything and she makes sure that the Macca Fat crop provides opportunities for the people who also export it. She is supported in this task by her daughter Poinsettia who is an environmentalist. She does everything to see that the natural environment of Maccafat Mountain is protected. Poinsettia’s greatest concern is the mysterious Macca Fat Gully and the Pattoo who lives there. No one goes into MaccaFat Gully not even Sergeant Supe the community police who is always ready to keep the villagers in check when it’s “Ticket Time”.

One day a self-proclaimed investor, Hard Time comes to the village, accompanied by his two agents Hell and Powderhouse. Hard Time wants to give the people of Macca Fat Mountain all they would ever want or need in exchange for their land – and Macca Fat Gully is high on his list.

Things are about to change for Maccafat Mountain. Will they be able to balance the environment and their needs? Will Hard Time get his hands on the Golden Maccafat? One thing is sure, it will all come out in the wash.
