The
Story
It's
time for the "Grande Olde Timey Story Festival" and
arch rivals Bamboo Hill and Nedder Side are both ready to claim
the top prize. But this year's competition is held up by a little
matter of a lost grip (suitcase to the uninitiated). The grip
contains the costume of Bamboo Hill's patriarch Maas Clem and
so his wife Miss Melvina instructs there grand daughter Taniesha
to go looking for the missing grip.
Taniesha's search is complicated by the arrival of two young boys who claim to be grandsons of Maas Clement and Miss Melvina. While they try to sort that out, and find there way back to the village square, the grip is stolen by two characters Festa and Lesta McAllesta who are not very successful thieves.
Back at the village square, Bredda Pardy the judge and jury for the competition allows Bamboo Hill a reprieve and sets back the performance schedule. Nedder Side is understandably upset
When it becomes clear that Taniesha is hopelessly lost (and Maas Clem's grip) the Bamboo Hillers set off on an expedition to find her. They are closely trailed by the Nedder Side who are sure that Bamboo Hill is up to no good. Their search leads them under the cotton tree and into the realm of the Tree Foot Horse.
What happens next? Will Maas Clement get his costume? What will the Tree Foot Horse do? How much trouble can Lesta and Festa get into? Will Taniesha and her cousins find their way home?
